late June into July
As monoculture takes over our agricultural system, we thought it time to diversify the chicken farm with produce. I mean, we had plenty of manure, right?
We also feed our plants with crazy amendments like Sea Crop (sea minerals), liquid squid and liquid fish. And we've been working a natural defense strategy (experimental traps, fields "clean" of overripe fruit and judicious application of an organic minty insecticide) against fruit flies.
All this has made for a gorgeous crop!
We have three varieties coming ripe this season: Boyne, Nova, Killarney
New to the region, these funny-to-see, but tasty-to-eat berries are in SEASON
These little blue babies will be ready for your basket in July
